Suzanne, serving as a case manager with over 5 years experience as a case manager including home health, hospital, skilled nursing facility, senior living, and private case management company. As a registered nurse for 30 years working in Medical/ Surgical, Critical Care, Homecare and School Nursing. As a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Nurse Corps served in leadership and training roles. As a case manager at Alere, serves and is responsible for directing and guiding complex/ catastrophic injury/illness cases by patient assessment, maintaining appropriate communication, coordination, and facilitation of approved recommendations by the customer team with emphasis on quality of life and cost effectiveness. Follows cases throughout the continuum of care, and in all settings, including home, hospital, rehabilitation facilities, etc until all goals for the patient have been addressed.
As an advocate and champion of case management, Suzannes goals for CMSS include recruiting new members, assisting in the monthly chapter meetings, encouraging politicians to make licensure in all 50 states as simple as drivers license in all 50 states, so that telephonic case management can operate efficiently and within the law.
