Theresa Shotton is a case manager in oncology, hematology, and infectious disease.
Her health care experience began in Kansas City (1989) where she worked as a phlebotomist and micro-plating of specimens. In 1993, she moved to Bowling Green Missouri and work in a rural hospital lab and as a unit clerk and read telemetry monitors while finishing nursing school at Hannibal Lagrange College of Nursing (1996). Currently, she is finishing her BSN in nursing there as well.
Since that time Theresa has worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings: medical surgical nursing, orthopedic, pediatrics, correctional nursing for Missouri State of Corrections, ER staff nurse, cardiac stress lab, cardiac & pulmonary rehab, chemo therapy infusion, high school health sciences instructor & clinical coordinator.
Theresa?s organization involvement includes: Skills USA Advisor 2004-07; MoACTE & MoSAHOE health sciences advisor 2004-07. Salary Committee for Pike RIII School District 2005-06 and HSTW 2005-07. Outstanding New Teacher 2006-07 (MoSAHOE) and Best Practice Award 2006 (MoSAHOE).
Theresa has been a member of CMSA and CMSS since 2005-2006.
