Colleen is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. 

Clinical background includes medical surgical hospital nursing and home health care with speciality focus in home infusion therapy. Colleen held national certification in infusion therapy for 8 years while employed by Caremark.  

Colleen has been a member of the Case Management Society of America for 14 years. Colleen has been a member of the Case Management Society of St. Louis for 8 years and Kansas City Chapter prior. Colleen is currently employed as a primary care case manager for St. Louis VAMC. Colleen has experience as a complex case manager for diabetes and related complications for Group Health Plan/Coventry Health Care. Managed care experience includes 13 years with Coventry Health Care serving both the Kansas City and St. Louis locations. CCM Certification since 1999.

Colleen has participated with the Case Management Society of St. Louis in varied capacities.

Colleen initiated the Professional Educational Collaborative within the Case Management Society of St. Louis. Professional Educational Partners include: St. Louis Area Association of Diabetes Educators, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants- St. Louis Chapter, Missouri Public Health Association, St. Louis Professionals for Healthcare Quality and the National Kidney Foundation. This collaborative initiative has afforded opportunities to expand beyond CMSS to other professional health organizations to support the chapter mission. Colleen also procured the CMSS agency membership with the Missouri League for Nursing.
